Frequently asked questions

Where are you located?
Is EMS safe?
Training and therapy using EMS are not at all dangerous. Electronic Muscle Stimulation is not a new trend, as it has been used in rehabilitation by physiologists, osteopaths, and many other different health professionals since the 1960s. The low-frequency impulse exclusively activates the striated skeletal muscles. Your organs and the heart are not reached. As you’re only working out mainly with your body weight, the risk of injury is minimal as well!

We use products of the market leader XBody which has a long history in EMS and is constantly working with universities and certified bodies to ensure safety and efficiency.

How is EMS more effective than going to the gym?

EMS activates 300+ muscles (over 90% of the muscles fibers) at the same time. This means you only need to spend 20 minutes in the studio to get the same result as working out in a gym for hours!

What can I expect from EMS sessions at Zero Xcuses?

During the initial session,

  • We will discuss your personal fitness goals
  • Familiarize you with the XBody machine, the XBody Suit and how EMS works and
  • Give you a full trial of the EMS workout.

When you come for your regular 20-minute training session to achieve your previously agreed individual training goals, you

  • Change into the EMS gear and
  • You will be guided through your workout by our Personal EMS trainer.
  • You’ll finish the session a few minutes of rest to help your muscles recover.

Your regular session will take about 30 minutes including getting in and out of your EMS gear. Perfect for lunch breaks, before, after or even in between work!

How do I prepare for my EMS sessions?

Not a lot at all! You can arrive straight from work or meeting as we provide you with gear (or you bring your own) and you can bring workout shoes if you like. Have a light pre-workout snack if you haven’t had food for a long period to the session.

You must stay hydrated throughout the day but we advise that your last meal is consumed no sooner than 2 hours prior to your scheduled session. This also allows your stomach time to digest before an intense workout.

How long until I see results?

Visible results can depend on the frequency of training sessions, your lifestyle, diet etc. However, results are generally visible as early as just 2 weeks.
